Thank you to all of the kind people that left encouraging comments for me. Sorry to take so long to update, but we no longer have internet. Although I don't feel I owe anyone an explanation, I do not want anyone to think I am using my son's memory for personal gain. Posting asking for help was a last resort. We ARE selling off everything we own, but have not had any takers as of yet. We DID cut out all necessities, as I previously stated, we no longer have internet.

My husband and I can work, we just can't find jobs. We have applied in person, online, temp agencies, unemployement office, you name it, we've tried it. I'm even donating plasma twice a week. Anyone that has followed my blog long enough will also know that my husband, Rob, has congestive heart failure with atrial fibrillation and has to be very careful about what type of work he does. He's not "sick" enough for disability, but not well enough to do hard labor either. Just kind of stuck in the middle. Any of you heart parents will know that heart conditions limit what a person can do.

We are not trying to live off of donations. We merely wanted to be able to come up with enough money to rent a truck and pay for that gas to go halfway across the country so that we can reunite with our children and start our lives over again.

Now and always, we will do "whatever it takes" for our family. That includes begging for compassion from anyone that reads this blog. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I respect that, but please, don't belittle me for trying to get home to my children by any means possible.

I am shocked by the comments that questioned your reasons for needing money right now. I guess they would rather point fingers than read through your blog and see all that you have been through and to what lengths you and Rob have gone to in order to provide for your family. I guess they don't "know you" the way I do.

You aren't the first family that has been left destitute from having to take care of a child with CHD, having them die and also losing all source of income. There are so many of us who struggle to get by from pay-check to pay-check and who can't get life insurance for our very sick heart children.

Praying is great but don't forget that God also answers prayers through other people. I love you and your family and am going to add the paypal button to my blog. I really hope that you and Rob can also sell some of your things in order to be able to move and reunite with your family.

I am hoping that you receive the money you need. If I had it all I would give it to you. I have a sister and a father with CHD and it was always a long hard battle with my sister, my dad only found out about his 3 years ago. My sister however, has had 7 open heart surgeries in 31 years. I don't know where she found the strength but she did and we're all here for her as you are for your family. With the economy as bad as it is I'm sorry, I wish I could help more. I will be letting everyone I know to come and help you though. Love, best wishes and prayers are being sent your way!

I am so so sorry for the loss ofg Tommy and the horrendous situation you have found yourfselves in, and have to say that I think that I think you are amazing, to be even standing upright and looking for work when your lives have been ripped apart like this. I truly wish I could send you some money but have no way of doing so from the UK< (we don't have paypal, all I can do is send you all our love and keep you all in our thoughts

I hope that all those who have been so negative about your efforts never find themselves in your position themselves. Love and blessings always Em xxxx
